I wonder how many worlds collide, coexist and fed into the mind of Vassilis Perou, the 32-year-old painter, who created the visual event with the "Fereic Memories" exhibition at the Skoufa Gallery.

Dozens of works, oil on canvas, oil on wood, constructions, photographs, mixed techniques, create galaxies that unfold, swirl and pervade the meaning of memory, movement, flow, migration - geographic, mental, physical. With a symbolic "house" bag, suitcase, passport, death certificate or birth certificate, Vassilis Perros composes a deep observation of social anthropology, microhistory and ontological agony.

Numerous references to Vassilis Perou take fragments, yarns, yarns and make them into something entirely his own, something that is self-sustaining in a continuous flow. Smyrna's mother combines with gothic-style houses, Spencer Tunick-style bare bodies and Ron Mueck styles, Kavvadia, Cavafy, an amalgam of intimate people, Tim Burton and Ieronymos Boss ...
